Ram, in town for a business meeting, walked in wearing a super-fitted T-shirt, a military backpack slung over his shoulder, and a Starbucks coffee in hand — swearing softly at the Bombay heat and questioning his choice of hot coffee on such a day. Diksha, who until now had never truly believed in love at first sight, spotted him across the terminal. In that instant, every Bollywood scene she’d ever seen about first love came alive. Her heart knew before her mind could catch up: this was the man of her dreams.
